LENA YECK OBITUARYLENA YECK OBITUARY
Lena Honstein Yeck was born on the 21st. of December, 1891 in Denver, ColLena Honstein Yeck was born on the 21st. of December, 1891 in Denver, Colo. to George Honstein and Margrette Trever. On July 27, 1913 she was married to Benjamin Oral Yeck in Denver. From this marriage came four children; Harold, Frances, Irene and Viola. They resided in Colorado until 1917 when they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1924 they moved to Rawlins where they lived until 1936 when they moved to Sublette County and remained there to her passing away on Wednesday, March 13, 1968. All of her children are living. They are: Harold J. Yeck in Riverton; Frances Perkins in Big Piney; Irene Hopkins in Lander and Viola Joslyn in Edgerton. Also living are: three brothers: John Honstein in Denver: Lewis Honstein in California; Henry Honstein in Fairview, New Mexico: One sister; Emma Harder in Nebraska: fifteen grand children and eight grand children. Those who preceded her in death are: one sister, Margrette; and one brother, Adam. Funeral services were held for Grandma Yeck on Saturday March 16th in the Congregational Church in Big Piney. She was also buried in Big Piney. All of her children were present for the funeral.

Funeral services for Lawrence G. Van Gorder, 1604 10 th. St., will be heFuneral services for Lawrence G. Van Gorder, 1604 10 th. St., will be held at 10:30 a. m. Friday in the Macy Allnutt Drawing Room. Internment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery. Van Gorder, an employee of the Colorado Department of Highways for 30 years, died Tuesday evening, July 3, at Weld County General Hospital. He had been in ill health for many years. Born in Greeley, April 7, 1903, he married Lena A. Yeck in Golden, Sept. 22, 1928. Van Gorder had been retired since April 1958. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Mrs. Lena A. Van Gorder, are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Cathryn I.) Kornhi of Canoga Park Calif.; two sons, Lloyd Van Gorder of Loveland and David Van Gorder; and seven grand children. Also surviving are two brothers, John Ross van Gorder of Evans and F. D. Van Gorder of Denver. The Greeley Tribune 5 July, 1973.
