For nearly three years after his graduation, he studied law, a part of the time with Honorable, Mr. Fisk of Wrentham, and the rest with Bradford Sumner, Esq. of Boston. In 1827, however, he made a public profession of religion, uniting with the Old South Church of Boston. He then turned his attention to the study of Theology, under the supervision of Dr. Wisner, his pastor. Afterwards, he went to the Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. He was ordained Pastor of the South Church in Dedham, December 16, 1829, and remained in the pastorate thereof until the 23rd of September, 1335, when at his request, he was dismissed. On the 16th of December, 1829, Mr. Harrison C. Mr. Park remained as pastor until Sept. 23, 1335, when he was dismissed at his own request. This church appears to be in that part of Dedham which was incorporated as the Town of Norwood in 1872.
