Daniel settled on a farm about 1740 in the south part of Worcester, removiDaniel settled on a farm about 1740 in the south part of Worcester, removing from Dedham. His name first appeared in the tax and jury lists of Worcester in March, 1741. Later, he served the town as Selectman several years. He was a proprietor of the First Parish Church, from the time of settling until the section where he lived was made the "South Precinct," in 1776, when a new parish was created and a new church organized, which he actively promoted and sustained through life. In 1778 this parish and others became a township, named Ward, which in 1837 was changed to Auburn. Daniel and his brother John were among the original proprietors of Guilford, Vt., with other citizens of Worcester.

Ralph Mann, a grandson of Rev. Samuel Mann, was born in Wrentham in 1728.Ralph Mann, a grandson of Rev. Samuel Mann, was born in Wrentham in 1728.
