Well, I searched the California Death Records and found Margaret Kite aWell, I searched the California Death Records and found Margaret Kite and the reason I know it is her her spouse's initials were given, J.A. so now we know when she died and her ageat death. She died March 16, 1935 at the age of 75 which probably places her year of birth as being 1859 in Lee County, Iowa. I looked for James but he obviously did not die in California. More as I find it.

WILLIAM LAFAYETTE DUPY, 73-years-old Ottumwa baker, of 201 North Sheri WILLIAM LAFAYETTE DUPY, 73-years-old Ottumwa baker, of 201 North Sheridan Avenue, died Sunday May 28 1950, at noon at the St. Joseph Hospital Ottumwa, Iowa.
The son of SOLOMAN LAFAYETTE and LIA MARIE (VIDAL) The son of SOLOMAN LAFAYETTE and LIA MARIE (VIDAL)
DUPY, he was born April 30, 1877, in Lee County, Iowa. His marria DUPY, he was born April 30, 1877, in Lee County, Iowa. His marriage to VERNA MAE STRUTHERS took place June 21, 1899. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. MR DUPY came to Ottumwa, Iowa in 1910 and had operated the DUPY'S BAKERY for the past 34 years. He was a member to the Willard Street Methodist Church.
MR. DUPY is survived by his wife, VERNA; one daughter; MRS RITA ELLA ( MR. DUPY is survived by his wife, VERNA; one daughter; MRS RITA ELLA (DUPY) ROBERTS of Ottumwa, Iowa; two sons, WILLIAM VERNON and LAFAYETTE STRUTHERS DUPY both of Ottumwa, Iowa;
one brother, OSCAR WILDE DUPY of Keokuk, Iowa and six grandchildren, A one brother, OSCAR WILDE DUPY of Keokuk, Iowa and six grandchildren, ALICE MAE and ELLA LUCILLE ROBERTS, MARCIA, STEPHANIE ANN and TIMOTHY STRUTHERS DUPY and ELIZABETH ANN DUPY.
His parents, one brother JIMMIE JESSE DUPY, and one daughter LISA MAXI His parents, one brother JIMMIE JESSE DUPY, and one daughter LISA MAXINE DEPY preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 31, 1950, at 10 A.M. at the Jay Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Everett R. Major of the Willard Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery north of Keokuk, Iowa. The casket will be closed at the begining of the services.
