Mrs. Laura Mae Hughes, age 93, passed away July 16, 1987 at Bay OsteopathMrs. Laura Mae Hughes, age 93, passed away July 16, 1987 at Bay Osteopathic Hospital. She was born in Bay City on August 9, 1893, and was a lifetime resident. She was a retired employee of the Mill-End Store. Mrs. Hughes is survived by 4 children, Mrs. Gertrude Brown & her husband, Charles (Chet), Mrs. Lillian Klida, Mrs. Dorothy Dupree & her husband, Danny, and Mr. Thomas Kensey & his wife, Emily, all Bay City. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Hughes, on December 20, 1963, and by a son, John Brookmeyer, in 1966. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Penzien Funeral Home, Inc. with interment in Green Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Cummings had been a member of World War II association.
