Mrs. Laura Mae Hughes, age 93, passed away July 16, 1987 at Bay OsteopathMrs. Laura Mae Hughes, age 93, passed away July 16, 1987 at Bay Osteopathic Hospital. She was born in Bay City on August 9, 1893, and was a lifetime resident. She was a retired employee of the Mill-End Store. Mrs. Hughes is survived by 4 children, Mrs. Gertrude Brown & her husband, Charles (Chet), Mrs. Lillian Klida, Mrs. Dorothy Dupree & her husband, Danny, and Mr. Thomas Kensey & his wife, Emily, all Bay City. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Hughes, on December 20, 1963, and by a son, John Brookmeyer, in 1966. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Penzien Funeral Home, Inc. with interment in Green Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Sarah N. Cummings of East Galesburg died of a heart ailment Sunday moMrs. Sarah N. Cummings of East Galesburg died of a heart ailment Sunday morning at 2:50 o'clock at Cottage Hospital. Services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Kimber and West funeral chapel where friends may call Wednesday evening. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery.
Mrs. Cummings was born Aug. 12, 1885 at Shawnee, O., and spent most of hMrs. Cummings was born Aug. 12, 1885 at Shawnee, O., and spent most of her life in Kansas. She moved to Illinois in 1927. On June 13, 1904, she was married at LaMar, MO., to Mark C. Cummings, who survives along with the following children: James Ramsey of Norris, Mark Cummings Jr., Charles Cummings and Philip Cummings, all of East Galesburg, Mrs. C. E. Kincade of Chillicothe, and George Cummings of Quincy, Mass. Also surviving are a brother, John Page of Arcadia, Kan., a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Crawley of Girard, Kan., three grand children and three great grand children. Mrs. Cummings had been a member of World War II association.

Mrs. Sarah N. Cummings of East Galesburg died of a heart ailment Sunday moMrs. Sarah N. Cummings of East Galesburg died of a heart ailment Sunday morning at 2:50 o'clock at Cottage Hospital. Services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Kimber and West funeral chapel where friends may call Wednesday evening. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery.
Mrs. Cummings was born Aug. 12, 1885 at Shawnee, O., and spent most of hMrs. Cummings was born Aug. 12, 1885 at Shawnee, O., and spent most of her life in Kansas. She moved to Illinois in 1927. On June 13, 1904, she was married at LaMar, MO., to Mark C. Cummings, who survives along with the following children: James Ramsey of Norris, Mark Cummings Jr., Charles Cummings and Philip Cummings, all of East Galesburg, Mrs. C. E. Kincade of Chillicothe, and George Cummings of Quincy, Mass. Also surviving are a brother, John Page of Arcadia, Kan., a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Crawley of Girard, Kan., three grand children and three great grand children. Mrs. Cummings had been a member of World War II association.
